Single Parents ( SPARK )

“In this program I’ve been able to totally change my life and I’m forever grateful for giving me this opportunity. God is so good and you show His love!”

SPARK

The purpose of the “Single Parent Alliance for Raising Kids” (SPARK) ministry is to provide single parent families an opportunity to achieve wholeness and stability through a combination of education, counseling, life coaching and mentoring, all in a spiritual environment. We seek to accomplish this goal by guiding families to EMBRACE STABILITY, EXPERIENCE GROWTH, and ENJOY INDEPENDENCE.

No fees are ever charged for these services.

Embrace Stability

In this entry phase of our program the goal is to become oriented to the program, develop trusting relationships with the staff and assess needs and goals required for success. In this phase the resident will get settled in to their apartment, seek a part-time job (if necessary) to generate some income, be connected to community resources and undergo a needs assessment.

Experience Growth

The primary goal of this phase is for the resident to gain skills, knowledge and confidence as she begins to work toward her goals. During this phase the resident will focus her efforts on growth in four areas – Educationally, Financially, Relationally and Emotionally. Support in each area is provided from a spiritual basis.

Enjoy Independence

As the resident experiences significant growth and is making progress toward completion of her treatment goals, she will begin to work toward becoming independent. This resident will typically be finished with her education and working in her chosen field. She will be living by a budget and will be saving money for the future. She will be dealing with her relationships successfully and will be more emotionally healthy.
